Anti Doping ManagerJob Description
An Anti Doping manager has the responsibility for developing anti doping strategies and raising education awareness within a given sport. The manager is responsible for the test programmes given to professional athletes. These can be targeted or random testing after matches or administrated at home in to prevent sports players breaching rules on prohibited and performance enhancing drugs. Doping managers need to have strong communication skills, ability to manage their time effectively, able to multi task and are constantly aware of the latest issues related to drugs in sport and have the ability to evaluate the latest literature and research. Entrants into this role may come from sports science background or in sports education and would require some management experience. Roles like this exist with FA and other sports governing bodies.
