Our charts and publications are licensed to customers as an independent publisher. We publish our material and include in the licence a generous copyright arrangement for our customers to use the charts for education and training purposes only. This is up to a maximum of 5 charts or 10 % of the document, with a limit of 200 copies per year. Our digital reproductions and display versions may not be copied, reproduced, data extracted, adapted in any way without our permission. General Terms The following information forms the basis of a licencing agreement between your school and the CGC Company in relation to the use of CGC digital and print media. Please take time to familiarize yourself with the scope and limits of this licence. Digital Documents – End User licence The digital version of the CGC ebook is made available to you and your institution in accordance with the terms set out in this document.
This electronic version of the document cannot be copied, forwarded or emailed to any third party within the school, or institution or externally of the institution.
Single User licence terms
You have access online to the staff enabled version of the ebook and rights to print selected pages from it. See our copy limits below for further details.
School User licence terms
These digital documents or links must be stored exclusively on the institution’s network or secure VLE platform and accessible only on by staff and students of the institution. All efforts must be made to ensure access is made solely to staff, students and prospective students of the institution.
The digital edition may not appear on any external facing website, be amended, adapted or converted into any other application or made available for commercial sale.
The institution is responsible for the security and access of the magazine and ensuring appropriate use of the magazine.
Access to the digital publication must be restricted in accordance with the number of user licences purchased. Additional licences can be purchased if required.
The digital licence is for one year and must be renewed if the school continues to store and access the digital media beyond that period.
CGC Copyright and Data Rights. Our CGC charts contain both copyright and digital data right over the contents. CGC own intellectual creation of the charts as a database as they are presented in a systematic and methodical way. (Copyright, Designs and Patents Act 1988) Any extraction of the data for utilisation in other forms would constitute an infringement of our data rights without our permission.
Photocopying and Printing Limits Normal printing and photocopying of the CGC charts is expected within the context of careers guidance activities such as small group work, one to one guidance sessions and other educational activities. More than 20 copies of more than 5 charts i.e. 100 printed charts printed at a single occasion is deemed excessive and in breach of this licence. You may not print and use the charts for display purposes accept those purchased directly from ourselves.
CGC’s in Institutional Publications and for Displays Express permission is required for use of the charts within literature or marketing material or for display in either print or electronic format. Please contact us if you require an additional licence for this purpose. Commercial copying, hiring, or lending of any print or digital media is strictly prohibited. All other rights reserved.
