Design Research Manager
Research Managers analyse current trends in the market place and look for unique developments and ideas for their company. These managers may lead a team of trend researchers working in product design, fashion. They may work for consultancy firms or large fast moving consumer goods (FMCG) companies. The role requires a keen understanding of trends in the chosen market and ability to present those ideas to key clients or senior colleagues. Design managers may bring a steer to their research team around analysis of colour, shape, design concepts and materials and collating that work.
