Disability Service Manager have operational responsibility for day to day management of clients living in residential accommodation or for community support workers enabling people to live independently. The role would involve ensuring that the services provided meets the needs of the clients. Service Managers lead a team of staff, dealing with rotas, staff issues, managing budgets, communicating with outside agencies, family members and service users. The role would require knowledge of person centred planning, residential and independent living, health and social care act and managerial experience. Other duties could include managing training and development of staff including appraisal and performance reviews.
