Job Description
An E Commerce Merchandiser manages the online marketing store for retailers. The work could be for a high street brand or a small to medium company. The job involves working with buyers on seasonal product selection, managing the trade on the website, writing product descriptions, optimising information for search engines, liaising with supplies for images and product descriptions, editing and uploading product information and pricing. The role may have some creativity in working on promotions. The post holder would be required to work with web analytic services such as google analytics to identify potential sales opportunities. The job could be across the full product range of the business or a single department depending on the company. With gained experience, promotion could lead to becoming a ecommerce manager or further opportunities in digital sales and marketing.
