Organising educational programmes for members of a church or religious group, this role may involve organising conferences, teaching on theology, morality or other aspects of the faith. The role may involve instructing new members on the beliefs of the organisation and may well have wider responsibilities in pastoral support and assisting at religious services. The post holder may be required to be from a certain religious order, be ordained or have come from a teaching profession. Previous experience in education or youth work may be an advantage in going into this career. This role may have a focus on children’s education and development or adult education.
