Industrial Design Intern
Design internships are opportunities for degree students in industrial design to obtain work experience within a company. The role may be unpaid opportunity for three to 6 months that could lead to potential career openings with that company. The work involved can be support for early concept generation, sketch-doodles and renderings, support for early 2D-3D cad study and design refinement phase, foam mock-ups, and graphic presentations. Students would need good conceptualization and brainstorming skills, an ability to produce quick sketches and free hand color renderings, have some familiarity with 2D Autocad, Illustrator, Photoshop, PowerPoint, 3D Rhino or Alias, some knowledge of materials, advanced technology and manufacturing process is helpful.. Generally these opportunities exist for students having completed their second year of degree.
