Livestock feed sales representatives market a manufacturer’s feed products to potential buyers such as farmers, feed specialists and other retailers. The work involves visiting, pitching and advising customers on prices and best deals for their products. Feed sales reps may focus on particular markets such as feeds for diary, pigs, poultry or in the the equine markets. Feed sales reps need to constantly update themselves on their product and have a good understanding of the nutritional value of their feeds for their customers.
