Mobile caterer

Job Description

Taking stands or pitches at events, shows, in licensed locations, mobile caterers sell hot and cold foods and beverages direct to the public.  Other forms of mobile catering include running a barbeque or hog roast, market stall or offering private chef services. These caterers are generally self-employed taking full responsibility for sales, financing, marketing, planning, food hygiene and business development. Franchise opportunities may exist.  Mobile caterers usually enter this career by having previous experience of working within the catering industry as chefs, catering managers or in other hospitality roles.
