Job Description

These researchers examine the history of a horse to determine its ancestry, abilities; its essential pedigree. They examine the background of a horse looking for its wins, earnings, show records or breeding records. For breeding stallions and mares the researcher seeks to determine its ability to pass on its genetic code to its offspring.  This work enables a breeder to determine which breeds to purchase for their program.  Weatherbys is one of the major companies working in horse racing administration and are contracted to the British Horseracing Authority. They conduct pedigree research and also produce breeding registry for Britain and Ireland.
