Job Description

This is a managerial role within the police service and is a career rank above sergeant. There are a wide variety of responsibilities to work at this level in community policing, detective work, serious and organised crime, intelligence, cybercrime and others.  The work involves managing staff, making operational plans and decisions, leadership, setting standards  and measuring the performance of others. Entrance into this career comes through promotion within the police service.
