Pricing Analyst help provide strategic decision making for a company in the market place. They have an understanding of the price, discounts and trends of a product within a specific market or comparing between different countries. As well as understanding the trends, analysts seek to find ways to increase profit margins based on their research and communicating those strategies to sales teams. They also have a grasp of the competition for the products they are working on. They work closely with marketing departments, country managers, sales teams and others. The role also involves looking at new product plans and helping set price structures. Pricing analyst usually have degree in marketing, finance or business related and in some cases have an MBA qualification. Pricing Analyst tend to work for large companies in retail, technology sector or industrial products, although elements of this work are found in marketing roles such as a Market Intelligence Analyst.. Skills and Experience Experience with product pricing Academic degree in finance, economics or business studies. Excellent analytical skills, supported by an intellectual curiosity and strong attention to detail. Strong problem solving skills to provide insights and solutions.
