Reintegration Officer

Job Description

In some local authorities this role is that of an Education Welfare Officer . In other jobs this title refers to working with students attending a pupil referral unit  and may well be a similar role to that of a Teaching Assistant .  The main focus of the job is around ensuring the continued education of students. Reintegration officers are therefore found working within teenage pregnancy ensuring young people have the access to continue in education, with students with special needs or students under the care of social services.  This would involve working with tutors, social services, health services and youth support teams. Jobs exist with local authorities.
