Job Description

Helping students to get to and from school, this role may involve supervising a child with special needs on and off school transport. The role could involve escorting via a taxi service or walking with a child or group of children. This role tends to be part time and time only.  This role may be called walking escort, passenger transport assistant or relief school escort.  A knowledge of health and safety and understanding the needs of for those with disability may be required.  Other escort roles exist in social care with adults who have special needs or the elderly.
