Secure Unit Manager
Job Description
Unit Managers or provide treatment and care to patients with wide range of mental health issues, including those with personality disorder, forensic history, substance abuse and self -harm. The work is a secure environment can be with adolescents, offenders suffering difficulties or dults from the community. The role may be working for an independent provider of psychiatric care or for NHS. The role involves assessing the needs of patients and ensuring effective care by staff. Managers have a duty to implement and maintain standards of care, write reports on patients, liaise with other professionals and may have some budget responsibilities.
