Shift manager

Job Description

A shift manager leads a team of production operatives ensuring the production runs are completed to quality, cost and on time. Their duties include checking the personnel are in right place, review production plans, challenge line performance, appraising team members, attend review meetings with managers. The must ensure staff are adhere to company policies and practices particular in relation to health and safety. A shift manager needs to understand factory operations have, good communication skills, an ability to motivate teams and troubleshoot machine problems with maintenance staff.
